‘Defend Our Fire Service’

Protest called by Castle Point Against The Cuts – 11am Saturday 15th October meet outside Canvey Island Fire Station in Long Road, Canvey Island.

Saturday will be the last time the Fire station will be manned by full-time firefighters and we feel it essential that we go along and support the firefighters losing their posts in favour of ‘Retained’ Firefighters because of the CUTS.

Protest Vigil to save Our NHS – 5th September

Meet from 6pm on Monday 5th September outside Southend Hospital, Prittlewell Chase, Westcliff-on-Sea

This protest is part of a national campaign to stop the government’s Health and Social Care Bill from breaking up and privatising our National Health Service. This Bill goes back to Parliament on 7th Septmebr join our protest to help make sure politicians know we will defend our NHS!

This event has been called jointly by Southend Against The Cuts and Keep Our NHS Public.
