Public Meeting

‘Fighting Back Against Austerity’

7:30pm, Tuesday 14th July

in the Lecture Theatre, Beecroft Art Gallery (former Central Library), Victoria Avenue, Southend SS2 6EX

The People’s Assembly Against Austerity ‘End Austerity Now’ demonstration enroute to Parliament square, attended by over 250,000 people on Saturday 20th of June 2015 sending a clear message to the Tory government; demanding an alternative to austerity and to policies that only benefit those at the top. London, UK.

Speakers invited include Essex Fire Brigades Union, Disabled People Against Cuts and National Gallery anti-privatisation strikers

The result of the General Election means that austerity will carry on with a vengeance. Welfare, the NHS and local services all face further cuts. The government will also press ahead with the agenda of privatisation of our public services.
We joined the huge demonstration in London on 20th June to start protesting against these policies – now come to this meeting and join the debate about how we can fight back and build a movement against austerity.
